Always play this course when on vacation in this area because the conditions are always the same, great!! Rolling fairways, very green grass with good size greens make it fun to play and score on. Must play this track from the tips if you hit the driver well and you'll be happy with your score. The #16 hole (par 5)is the only hole that needs about three looks for your 2nd shot (7 or 8 iron) because the landing area sucks, trust me. Weekday AM play goes very smoothly.

This is a great course for average or below average golfers. It's in great condition, relatively inexpensive and not very difficult. Fun course to relax on if you aren't a real serious golfer.

Back up here on vacation and decided to revisit one of my favorite courses in this Western Lake Michigan vacation area. Course is still green from wherever you might land with a little more fairway definition. The little pine trees (branches to the ground) have now closed off the shortcuts and berms added between the fairways. These changes and the 10-15mph western wind made a simple layout a little more challenging than before. Still great conditions from tee to green and the white sand from the beaches was very soft to play from. The #16 par 5 dogleg at 520yds is still an tough 2nd shot hole to the 100yd landing area as we all found out. Shot 45/45 w/31 putts, Jeremy having 47/42 w/34putts and Kevin taking honors 42/43 w/33putts and agreed the pine/wind was a major score factor. Worth putting on your golf stops if you're in this area. (Thoroughbred GC now owns this course also, great combo)
